1:1-31- God invites us to ‘come’ to Him and receive salvation - ‘though your sins are like scarlet, they shall be as white as snow’.

Introduction We begin with the words of Psalm 119 - 'Your Word is a lamp to my feet and a light to a path'(105) . This is a great starting-point for our journey of discovery.

Chapter 11 God sees only two types of people: 'clean' and 'unclean'. All of us are 'in Adam' (sinners)but not all are 'in Christ' (saved) (Romans 5:12-21).

The Holy Spirit is the Breath of God. All Scripture is God-breathed. We experience the Breath of God upon our life when we listen attentively to the God-breathed Scriptures.

20:1-26- What great things God did for His people, Israel. He ‘brought them out of the land of Egypt’. He led them to ‘a land flowing with milk and honey’ (6).

Chapter 7 God's purpose of grace moves forward according to His power and not our weakness. Moses spoke 'with faltering lips' (6:30). God worked miracles (8-24).

10:1-37- Christ’s message - ‘The kingdom of God has come near to you’ (9) - calls for our response - hearing with faith or rejecting in unbelief (16).

1:1-2:9- From the heights of heaven and the depths of suffering, ‘God... has spoken to us by His Son’ (1:1-2). Jesus Christ is God’s ‘Word’ to us.

* What a wonderful message the prophet brings to us – the ‘river’ of God’s blessing. He speaks of the rising of the ‘river’ of God’s blessing - ‘ankle-deep... knee-deep...

By grace you have been saved through faith ... for good works (Ephesians 2:8-10). Before we speak of our own good works, we must speak of faith in Christ.
